Each sushi roll is crafted with care, offering a refreshing taste of fresh fish, even within the realm of quick service.

The menu doesn't stop at rolls. Appetizers such as Baby Octopus ($3.99) and Wakame Salad ($3.49) provide a delightful way to begin your meal, ensuring every visit feels special. For sushi lovers looking for variety, the Maga Set offers an impressive assortment of nigiri and rolls for $13.49, making it a steal for its quality and taste.

Customer feedback highlights the establishment's practicality. One patron, James S., noted, "Way better than airport sushi!" emphasizing that while the fish may not be the absolute peak of freshness, it still delivers good quality for a take-out sushi place. Another loyal customer, Joon G., remarked on the impressive food quality, awarding it an 8/10, particularly valuing its convenience for busy workdays in the district.

While seating options are available for those who wish to enjoy their meal on-site, the brisk pace of lunchtime means that many opt for grab-and-go. As Elaine N. mentions, you can easily pick up delicious bento boxes or sushi from the fridge and pay upfront, ideal for those on their lunch hour. Just be mindful—items may sell out quickly during peak lunch hours, so it's advisable to arrive early for the best selection.

Though some reviews pointed out variations in freshness and portion sizes, patrons find the prices reasonable for the area. Reviews like that of Oanh L. highlight the affordability in comparison to other sushi spots without compromising on flavor.

In summary, iKU Sushi & Bento sets itself apart as a reliable, convenient option for those craving authentic Japanese cuisine in San Francisco's Financial District. Whether you're in the mood for sushi or a tasty bento, this spot promises a satisfying meal that won't break the bank. Grab your chopsticks and prepare for a delightful culinary experience!

Way better than airport sushi! Your basic quick take out sushi place. Fish tastes pretty fresh, with average quality. The sushi sets are nice since they come with salmon and tuna, and two types of roles. The nigiri slices were slightly on the thinner side and tasted precut, since pieces were a little drier on the edges. Rice was average, neither too moist nor too dry. Set was about $18. Grab and go, or sit for a quick bite. Great when you are on the rush. Dont bring a date..

Second time here! Always so fast but it's pretty empty. It didn't look as fresh this time compared to my first time. I I mean for $17.29 for this portion I'd say it's pretty good. I wanted to see if they could switch out the roll for another kind but they don't do that. There are tables upstairs but people just buy and go.

Just moved my office to the Financial District and accidentally stumbled upon this sushi to-go spot near work. Love that they offer both sushi and bento options--gives some nice variety for lunch. Food quality gets an 8/10 from me; it's pretty impressive, especially for a quick service place. Prices aren't the cheapest around, but they're definitely acceptable considering the location. Overall, I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for quality Asian fast food in the area. Great find!

I went here for lunch on a Tuesday recently and there wasn't much of a wait! At this place, you can pick up what packed foods you want at the fridge by the walls and then pay for it at the front, but if you go later during the lunch hours, then the fridge might be a little empty. Anyways, I got the Grilled Lemongrass Pork Bento. The food was good, but it eventually got a little too salty for me as I was eating more of it. I was ok with it being a bit too salty since I was hungry, so maybe that's why it didn't bother me too much. I'd recommend this place! They usually have more food and small grab and go snacks, but during the time I went, they didn't have much available at the fridge. They also have tables here if you decide to eat your meal here. The meal I got here also filled me up, so I was happy about that.

[Pre-Covid Review] When I used to work in FiDi before the pandemic, this place was a great spot to grab a quick, affordable lunch if I've forgotten mine. Typically I get onigiri, and I try to go in the morning, since they usually sell out of most items by lunch time. There's also hot items like chicken karaage, takoyaki, etc. I have gotten their pork katsu as well, one time when I was lucky for it to not sell out. Prices are fairly reasonable and the food quality is pretty good.

I stumbled upon this place a few weeks ago. I was drawn in by the simple aesthetics, bright pops of color on the wall and lastly, the color shelves of sushi on the far right wall. I grabbed a brown rice unagi onirgi and enjoyed it later in the day. It was yummy, filling and guilt free. Then yesterday, I saw on instagram someone had posted a beautiful meal called "Trust Me Lite" from Sugarfish in Los Angeles. It consisted of 4 tuna mini rolls, 4 crab mini rolls, 4 assorted nigiris and edamame. At sugarfish, this costs $23. This inspired me to get sushi for lunch today and I made my own little "trust me lite" meals for a fraction of the cost! If I got the exact same items as Sugarfish, it would have been about $11 without the edamame. I cant speak to Sugarfish and IKU quality differences, but I would def eat IKU again when the craving hits.
